As the youngest sprout of the familie, Peter Leppert took over the family business in 1993. Before doing so, he became a trained cook and hotel business economist. He worked as a Chef de partie in Lausanne (Switzerland) and as a Chef poissonnier at the hotel Waldhorn in Ravensburg.

The practice-oriented training of young people is very important to the father of six children. He is a member of the examination board of the IHK Karslruhe for cooks and kitchen chefs. He is a lecturer at the European hotel management school as well. The Hotel Jägersteig trains young people in the professions of Cooks and Restaurant Specialists and provides training places for them.
